Bible Memory

Bible Memory Ministries seeks to educate young people in the Word of God through verse memorization, Bible lessons, and a camp experience. The program is for students in grades 2 – 8.   Each student participating will be asked to memorize 32 Bible verses and complete 8 Bible lessons during the school year.   Students work at their own pace and say their verses to their small group leader or Bible Memory Coordinator at church on Sunday mornings.  The more verses the student learns, the lower the cost is for Bible Memory Camp! Bible Memory Camp is an exciting blend of worship, recreation and fellowship with lots of time for old friends and new. It’s days full of the best fun and amazing spiritual growth that a kid can have.

Download and print the verses that match your child’s grade level.  (It is acceptable to choose one grade level for all the kids in your family, or use a separate list of verses you child is memorizing in school.  Make your Bible memory coordinator aware of any changes you are making.)  Students are asked to say their verses to their small group leader (SGL) at church on Sunday mornings.  To make reciting verses to the SGL quick and easy, we ask that the student bring a printed copy of the verse (on paper or notecard) to class or have a Bible open to that verse.  The SGL will record each verse that the student has said.

The monthly lesson worksheets are optional.  Children who attend summer Bible Memory Camp will get a free t-shirt if they complete all the lessons.  Turn completed lessons into your small group leader at church.

A great component of Bible Memory Ministries is the camp experience each summer.  We encourage students to join the group from Journey Mennonite to attend Bible Memory camp in Chouteau, Oklahoma the first full week of June.

Watch for more details in the spring.
